Who:
halfbrokenwings and
brynkitten
What: all the cuffs stuck together!
When: backdated to the night it all went down-
Where:Barracks!
[Though, the halls were rather creepy at night, and outside even more so- the bard had no choice with the time of night that she entered the halls. She'd gotten her wings wet while bathing and that takes hours to dry.
So it was past suppertime when she was wandering through the halls. A cuff was dangling on her wrist, that she couldn't explain. In her other hand there was a key- and the key did not fit to the cuff. She was not inclined to mess with it overly much after the fiasco with the pumpkins. If she'd ignored it, it would go away eventually- right?
Everything else had.]

Of course on her way to bed, she found one part of a handcuff latched around her wrist. She stared at it, bewildered, and turned the corner. In her hand was a key, but when she tried it in the lock, it didn't work.]
What the...
[She looked up and noticed someone else down the hallway. Quickly, she ran toward Isabella with a concerned look on her face.]
Isabella? Hey, do you have one of these too?
no subject
There was no way that Isabella could brace or expect that to happen, and the feathered girl goes flying along with the handcuffs.]
AAAAAAIIIIEEEE!!!!
no subject
Oh...oh my god did you see that? Did you...how did...
[It was hard to be tired when weird shit was happening.]
How did it do that??
no subject
Wha-?
[She's shaking and all the feathers have now fluffed up, making it a massive silver and black puffball behind Isabella. She looks to the cuffs then back at Bryn.]
Another of our Lord's games?
no subject
I would expect so.
[She doesn't sound unhappy so much as...tiredly resigned.]
I suppose it's lucky at least that I'm chained to someone I've met before at least.
[Granted, Bryn doesn't know Isabella well, but a woman with wings was difficult to forget.]
no subject
But unless she was willing to break her fingers, the cuff was going to stay where it was. The bard doesn't sound too happy either, but more at the situation and NOT at Bryn herself.]
I have to say we are both lucky in that regard. It perhaps would be more awkward if we were changed to any of the males?
[Still, she smiles trying to lighten the mood a bit.]
no subject
Swallowing, she nodded emphatically.]
A lot more awkward.
[Small blessings it wasn't the case.]
I was headed to bed but now...
[She looks at Isabella quietly as if to ask "What should we do?"]
no subject
[Isabella looks just as bewildered. Though with how patterns in the keep had began to run- ]
- I have a feeling that we will not be the only one with strange goings on.
My journal is also in my room, we can check upon it and see if anyone else is just as unfortunate?
[Because if there isn't a key for these damn things, she's out of ideas. ]
no subject
That seems like it would be best. We can see if we're the only ones and...perhaps try to tackle this problem in the morning?
[Because she very much doubted they'll have any luck with this tonight, as late as it was.]
no subject
Would you be more comfortable in your room? Or would you mind sleeping in mine?
[Wings are such a pain..]
no subject
We had better go to yours. I imagine you're...already set up for space to account for your wings and such. If you don't mind, of course...
no subject
I am- I'm sorry.
My room- the bed is rather large, I would not mind at all. If, you do not mind?
Guess who is the flakiest? Me! I'm the flakiest (oh god I'm so sorry ;; )
[She blinked at Isabella, uncertain as to why she had...]
Of course I don't mind. It seems the most practical. If you'll just lead the way?
NUH UH. Imma bum >.< I already forgave you! D: .... forgive me? >.<
Colors are everywhere. The bard can not stand drab color, and to make dresses she's dyed the cloth she can find. The bed is more nest like with comfy squishy pillows- one of which was actual down instead of the lumpy ends of cloth scraps, that she stuffed with her own feathers. It's bare except for the cloth, bed and her musical instruments. Easy to navigate.]
Will this be alright?
...there's nothing to forgive you for D:
The colorful clothes, the comfortable looking bed, and the musical instruments all draw her focus, and if she were not so tired she'd want to talk about everything, and how similar their rooms are...
But as sleepy as she is, Bryn offers Isabella a warm smile and nods emphatically.]
Absolutely. I...I appreciate you letting me stay with you, considering the circumstances we're in and such.
LATEFOREVER
I am glad I could provide this then, with what has happened.
[She suddenly giggles.]
I had the silly notion that we would be able to somehow dress appropriately for our sleep. Then I realized belatedly that this would be impossible with our wrists together like this. We'd be ripping slits into shifts, and our daytime clothes would have to hang between us if we were able to get it off at all.
[It has to be late for this to make the bard giggly.]
NUH-UH
That doesn't sound comfortable at all, and I don't know about you but I'm not about to rip holes in any of this just to get it off. We'd have just as many issues trying to get something back on.
[Shaking her head slightly, Bryn looked to the bed, and then back to Isabella.]
Do you prefer the inside or the outside?
UH HUH
Actually, uh- I've never really thought of it.
[She's never shared a bed but for the one time where out of exhaustion and relief she shared the same space with Sollux. Preference? What is that?]
Whichever you prefer, please. You are the guest here!
[Bardic diplomacy, for the win!]
no subject
[How does this work because Bryn has no idea and it seems like Isabella has more to worry about than she does.]
no subject
I sleep on my belly, like a bird.
no subject
no subject
Alright!
[She can't help the flushing of color into her cheeks but, she climbs the bed and nests. The more crippled of the two wings, drapes off the edge of the bed, away from where Bryn will sleep. While, for the moment, her other wing is tightly folded to her back.]
Your turn?
[She smiles and a little giggle escapes. What a weird evening!]
no subject
Carefully, she follows Isabella onto the bed, staying close so as to not fall off the bed, but far enough to not be touching. Bryn turns her head and smiles with a sigh.]
All comfy.
[She's just going to drag something over her to make sure she stays warm.]
We'll get this sorted out in the morning...
