009[Audio]
[The sound of barely contained distress is coming from the journal. She was disturbed before, with all the faces of people she knew at the orphanage and the faces of the two friends she had left behind being snatched from here but, this? She could not handle this. She is in her room in the farthest corner, huddled against the wall with her wings wrapped as much as they could around her.
She pleads perhaps to the absent Lord, or to anyone that can hear her.]
P-please. Make it stop. Make it stop. Th-they won't stop whispering, th-threatening. Please. Please.
[Before the audio cuts out you can hear her sobbing. She is literally scared to tears.]

She stares at the door, listening as it gets closer.]

Hearing one of the worst sounds ever would make it rather difficult for the poor fool to contain his sobbing, yet he does his best to choke down any noises as he makes his way towards her room. He doesn't know what he'll do if there's a dead body inside. Perhaps go insane with grief over possibly killing someone important to him. Only one way to find out, anyways.
The first thing the two will see is a gloved hand slowly creep around the edge of the doorway, before a rather orange splotched bird mask peers around to look inside. He's absolutely plastered in pumpkin seeds and orange gore and shaking rather badly.]
O-Oh... G-...Good day, boy. Have you seen-...O-Oh, I-Isabella- Y-You're not dead-... Th-That is good...

...Malkus. What happened?
no subject
She just nods at Malkus.
Sollux's question was very very important.]

I-I-... Nothing too-....Too t-troublesome... Ahem- Isabella, I-...I erm-...apologize but I was unable to bring your pumpkin to you. Those voices..
[He looks around a bit, expecting to have heard something by now.]
Do you-...still hear them.
[By the way he's looking at both of them, one could assume he's directing the question at Sollux as well.]

Her eyes are wide as he mentions her pumpkin. There was a conclusion to jump to, and so she did.]
Why? Wh-at did you do to my pumpkin?
[Then gives a little shake of her head.]
No. They're gone.
no subject
[He shudders, leaning against the edge of the door.]
I was afraid I was the only one deaf to these apparent pumpkin-wails...
no subject
...KK's pumpkin did it, when the sun rose. I guess being moved does that to them...no fucking clue why it would, though.
no subject
She wraps her hands around her shoulders and hugs herself. The words she speaks are a bit jaded now.]
Terrible magics. Likely for the Lord's sick humor.
[It's the only explanation that she can think of. Nothing makes any sense.]
I hope nothing else happens...
no subject
[He rubs a pumpkin seed off of the lens of his mask, only serving to smudge it and make himself blind in one eye.]
I certainly hope not, too. It shouldn't though, right? Otherwise we would have at least gotten some word or warning to leave them alone?
no subject
If its for that holiday it can't last longer than the party, right? Or maybe they'll all be dead by tomorrow, since they showed up yesterday.

[She is starting to become jaded at the consistent lack of information. It's expected and hard not to place two and two together. She just wished that some of the more amiable staff members could actually help.
She shivers and lets out a long sigh, unwrapping her arms from her sides. Then, she looks to the doctor curiously.]
What happened to your pumpkin Malkus?
no subject
I-It fell. I uh- yes. It fell. Hard. And broke into pieces rather early on. I haven't heard a single noise from a single pumpkin, other than yours...
[He rubs at his arm, rather nervously. It's pretty obvious what he did to his pumpkin.]
But yes. I do hope this is the end of it...
no subject
Lucky you.

The frown turns to worry as Sollux take a seat. Now, she was without the voices too but, he had them. She sits on the bed and places a hand on his shoulder.
She looks over at Malkus and his very messy attire.]
Thank you for your concern, Malkus.
You might wish to clean up though.
[He is going to have trouble seeing through those eyeholes soon, and the smell was starting to make her nauseous on top of her anxiety.]
no subject
[He glances down, jumping a bit as if surprised by his own appearance.]
O-Oh dear! I- e-erm...
[He steps back a bit, stepping out of the room.]
P-Perhaps I should go and get myself brushed off-....
no subject
You should, unless you like the idea of walking into walls and stuff.
no subject
But, they seem to catch him a lot of times now, when he has something upon his clothing: mud, blood and pumpkin guts...]
Thank you Malkus, again, for coming here, it is appreciated.
[She's not so sure about the pumpkin death, though.]
no subject
[He does a small bow, taking a few more steps out into the hall.]
I better erm-... clean this off of all the things-... it smells rather nice, at least-...
[As he walks away, his voice can still be heard fading off as he mumbles to himself down the hallway.]
no subject
*Sollux waves a little bit as Malkus walks off then shakes his head and turns back to Isa. He's not really sure where to go from here, so its really up to how well she seems to be doing.*
no subject
See you then!
[She waits until she hears the muttering fading from down the hall before she turns to Sollux. She gives him a squeeze on the shoulder then drops her hand.]
Thank you, Sollux...
... are you alright?
no subject
*Well, as fine as he ever was.*
Are you doing better?
no subject
I think I'll be alright now. I'll likely be taking some time to calm down completely but, I'm alright.
[Stupid Dieor.]

Thank you. I think I might stay in here for a little while, yet.
Unless you want to stay, or want me to come with you?
